This is a brief reminder… of the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, to which anyone may return… whenever something about the greatest obligation of this religion becomes unclear… the obligation of prayer… In it is a collection of the Sunnah practices transmitted from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ concerning the obligatory prayer… its preliminaries of purification and the call to prayer… and what follows it of supplication and seeking forgiveness… selected from “Sunan Abi Dawud”… by the eminent Imam Abu Dawud… for his gathering of the hadiths of rulings… and his excellent selection and arrangement of them… in the hope that it may be a reminder of that obligation… in its purity and clarity…
