Why did Allah say ﴿ولله على الناس حج البيت﴾ “And Hajj (pilgrimage to Makkah) to the House (Ka’bah) is a duty that mankind owes to Allah” (Al ‘Imran 3:97)… Why did He, glorified and exalted is He, say “My House…” (Al-Hajj 22:26)… and why did He call it “the Sacred Mosque”?!! What is the secret of its sanctity… and the reality of its sanctity?! And why did He say “whosoever enters it, he attains security” (Al ‘Imran 3:97)?! What is the secret of the House… the secret of Safa… the secret of Mina?! What is the secret of these outward rites… what is their reality?! What is the secret of the weeping eyes… and what is this joy that fills everyone who enters the Sacred Mosque?!
