Umar Bin Al-Khattab, the most astonishing of men: all the resources of the earth were placed in his hands… and he paid them no heed. Humanity has never witnessed, and never will, a man who ruled it all and was as just as Umar!! If you want to know what true Islamic practice really is… look at how Umar applied Islam… a giant of truth… or truth embodied in a giant… he is Al-Faruq… The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Allah has placed the truth upon Umar’s tongue and in his heart; he is Al-Faruq, through whom Allah distinguished between truth and falsehood”!! And just as the devils fled from Umar – from the strength of his character – so too, when he governed the world, the people of falsehood fled from his rule… The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “By Him in Whose hand is my soul, Satan never meets you walking along a path without taking a path other than yours”!! The traits of his character were the traits of his policy!! Here is Umar… a complete, integrated political system, to which enemies bore witness before friends; a system that rises proudly to the sky, beside which every system that has arisen, or will arise, on earth fades away. The Prophet ﷺ said: “The firmest of my nation in the matter of Allah is Umar.” He was the man under whom the state reached completion, the idea matured, and its application broadened… and there were marvels, wonders and great deeds from this man… In this book we shall see something astonishing… and whoever is in doubt, let him read and judge…
