In it is the life of seven of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ!!! They are the truly great… the truly noble… Though they were the poorest of people… they came to him asking to be provided with mounts, and he said: “I can find no mounts for you”?! And what did they do? “they turned back, while their eyes overflowing with tears”?! Their tears were something hidden… yet before Allah they were manifest and known to Him, glorified is He. Allah willed to raise them… and to raise their tears… O you whose tears rose up to Allah… He then set upon your heads a crown that will shine until the Hour is established… when He revealed concerning you a Qur’an that is recited: ﴿ وَلَا عَلَى الَّذِينَ إِذَا مَا أَتَوْكَ لِتَحْمِلَهُمْ قُلْتَ لَا أَجِدُ مَا أَحْمِلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ تَوَلَّوا وَّأَعْيُنُهُمْ تَفِيضُ مِنَ الدَّمْعِ حَزَنًا أَلَّا يَجِدُوا مَا يُنفِقُونَ﴾ “Nor (is there blame) on those who came to you to be provided with mounts, and when you said: ‘I can find no mounts for you,’ they turned back, while their eyes overflowing with tears of grief that they could not find anything to spend (for Jihad).” (At-Tawbah 9:92) So who are these great ones?! Here they are, before your eyes.
