In it are the marvellous wonders of the Night Journey and the Ascension! It is said that both took place a year before the Hijrah, in the month of Rabi’ Al-Awwal… the view of most scholars! And it is said that both occurred on a single night… while he was awake… in body and soul ﷺ… which is the position of the majority of the scholars of Hadith, jurisprudence and theology! What did he ﷺ see in the highest heavens?! Did he ﷺ see his Lord on the night of the Isra’?! Read… and marvel… and recite His words, glorified is He: (سُبۡحَٰنَ ٱلَّذِيٓ أَسۡرَىٰ بِعَبۡدِهِۦ لَيۡلٗا مِّنَ ٱلۡمَسۡجِدِ ٱلۡحَرَامِ إِلَى ٱلۡمَسۡجِدِ ٱلۡأَقۡصَا ٱلَّذِي بَٰرَكۡنَا حَوۡلَهُۥ لِنُرِيَهُۥ مِنۡ ءَايَٰتِنَآۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلۡبَصِيرُ ) “Glorified (and Exalted) be He (Allah) Who took His slave (Muhammad ﷺ) for a journey by night from Al-Masjid-al-Haram (at Makkah) to the farthest mosque (in Jerusalem), the neighbourhood whereof We have blessed, in order that We might show him (Muhammad ﷺ) of Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, lessons, signs, etc.). Verily, He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer.” (Al-Isra’ 17:1)!!!
